Mission
The Jesus Conversations trains church leaders and their members to understand the evidence and reasons for their faith, so they can make a clear and gracious defense for Christianity.
We encourage Christians to develop coherent answers to questions that challenge Christianity so that their faith is deepened and thereby are emboldened to share the Gospel in a gracious and compelling manner.
Values
Truth:
As ambassadors for Christ, we give care to ensure our message is accurate and clear, not simply to persuade individuals, but to reveal the truth.
People:
All human beings are valuable and made in the image of God. We believe that every person must be afforded love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be renounced and are not in accord with Scripture.
Integrity and Kindness:
We relentlessly strive to live a life that is committed to and reflects the character of Jesus, in heart, in mind, in words, and in action.
Persistence with Confidence:
We believe Scripture when it tells us that we are in the midst of a spiritual battle. There are forces at work that are beyond what we see and we are integral players in God’s story. He has crafted us and created us for this time, to reach people around us and to be a part of his eternal story. We never give up on anyone. We strive to know Jesus and make Him known through the power of the Holy Spirit in wisdom.
Be bold, be brave, be like Jesus.
Statement of Faith
The Jesus Conversation represents orthodox Christianity.
The Bible is the Word of God, a supernaturally given revelation from God Himself. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are without error or misstatement in their teaching.
There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Our Lord Jesus lived and taught and performed mighty works exactly as recorded in the New Testament. He was put to death by crucifixion. God raised Jesus bodily from the dead. The Lord Jesus, after His crucifixion, showed Himself to be alive to His disciples. By dying on the cross, Jesus made an atonement for sin, and anyone who comes to believe and follow Christ and His ways will be saved from the punishment of sin. At the second coming of Christ their bodies will be raised and transformed into the likeness of Jesus’ glory.
We believe in the present power of the Holy Spirit, as revealed on the day of Pentecost, enabling all those who follow Christ and are born again, to be bold, speak in tongues, and receive spiritual gifts. We believe the Christian is enabled by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to perform good works that are the necessary evidence of their genuine faith in Christ. The persistent practice of sin is inconsistent with biblical teaching and will deny access to eternal life with Christ. Anyone who rejects Jesus and His ways will not see nor enter the Kingdom of God until they are born again.
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy, forgiveness, and life through Jesus Christ.
