Starting your Journey as a New Christian
Joining the family of God is such an exciting venture. There is so much here: love, peace, community, joy, comfort, calling, anointing, grace.
However, there is so much against you. Temptation, evil, spiritual warfare, deception, distraction.
The easiest time to fall away is when you first commit your life to Christ. Your friends and family may not like this change, and certainly the devil does not. He will do anything and everything for you to not fully surrender or stay committed to Jesus. This is why I am so passionate towards new Christians and the re-committed. Its so hard to keep the faith, even as an experienced Christian, so I know when you first start out, its such a difficult time/change.
Nothing is impossible.
Don’t be discouraged, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You can overcome because Jesus has already overcome. I have developed guides to help you stay motivated in God and ever after his heart. I know this season can be challenging, and changing your entire life may be easier said than done, but rely on God, take baby steps, and don’t give up. God is faithful, and your reward will be great in the end.
Diving Deeper in your relationship with Jesus
All throughout scripture we are instructed to seek after God’s heart diligently. Growing closer to God is one of the greatest pursuits you can ever have because when you surrender and pour into God, he will pour back into you tenfold!
I am not only talking about the blessings we receive in this natural world. I am talking about experiencing who God is. This is the greatest gift. Truly knowing and truly loving the Creator and Savior of the Universe. Imagine that? Being full of all of the fullness of God, his riches of glory and grace, peace and love, comfort and salvation, his handprint in every area of our lives.
Are you willing to surrender all?
Truly getting to know Christ takes a fully surrendered life. Your entire heart and soul must be in it, and as His Word says, if you draw nigh to him, he will draw nigh to you. Are you ready?
Learning more about the Word of God
The Bible is God himself speaking to us. The more we know about his Word, the more we know about God, and the better we can help others get to know him too.
The Bible is vast, and complex, and can be challenging to understand sometimes. This is why i made an entire section dedicated to resources and guides to help you gain better knowledge of the Word of God and who God is. Knowing the Bible is your best and greatest defense against the attacks of the devil and the world, including lies, sinful manipulation and temptation. Once you truly know what God says about you and how to live this life for him, you won’t be easily swayed with the cares of the world.
Ready to stand firm in Christ?
We fight against the enemy everyday of our lives. He will never give up until he has our soul. The word of God is our Sword, and we are called to fight the good fight of faith. This is how Jesus fought against the devil when he lived in this world, and this is how Jesus will fight for you. Let’s dive into the Word of God, learn it, hide it in our hearts, and ready ourselves for battle.
Bettering your mental health as a Christian
The topic of mental health in church and in our Christian community hasn’t been discussed enough.
If you are struggling with your mental health, don’t be discouraged. There are so many Christians just like you, and you are not in the wrong. Experiencing a mental illness/disorder/problem is not a sin, and it is not your fault.
Mental Health is just as any other health issue.
I have created a guide with several resources that will help you navigate through this difficulty according to the word of God. Jesus heals, and he can heal you from this too.
